Term 2
It has been a very busy term in Forest School!
We created a Remembrance garden, KS2 practised their knots to make crosses and KS1 and yrR used finger prints or hand prints to make poppies. Year 3 fired their Stone Age pots in a fire - just as it would have been done in the Stone Age!
Children built dens to shelter from the rain, made animals or structures from conkers, conker soap, made music, discovered fungi, looked at the wonderful colours of Autumn and made Christmas decorations to sell at the Christmas fair.
Concentration and teamwork were required to master the standing stick game - well done yr6!
Year R enjoyed their first Forest School sessions - exploring, climbing and discovering.
Every class contributed to an autumnal art project inspired by the artist James Brunt.
Year 6 created clan flags from their class text Wolf Brother, using charcoal paint or acorn ink.
We celebrated the end of term with toasted marshmallows and hot chocolate.
