Girls - Allstar Basketball
Wow! Our KS2 basketball girls really did the school proud today. For most of the girls this was the first time they had played basketball outside of PE lessons and the improvement that was made during the event was impressive! There were a few nerves to begin with, but through courage and endurance they played their hearts out and all left smiling and proud of their efforts. They showed fantastic sportsmanship as cheerleaders for our team and in respecting the other teams.
Event Report from Mrs Perrott
Pippa and Bella Year 5 - At first we were really nervous but once we had a go we were okay. We did get two shots in the hoop and we were really proud about that. We showed a lot of endurance when things got tough. Evie M and Pippa scored the two hoops.
“I was one of the smallest players but scored a basket and I won a signed basketball because even though I was the smallest I kept on playing even when I got hit on the nose with a basketball!” Emily Year 3
Millie Year 3 “At first I was a little bit scared but when I got started, I liked it.”
Flora Year 3 “I tried to do my best and had fun! We all had a great time and want to do it again!”
