Term 5
This term lots of classes have learnt to use tools, from loppers and secateurs to bow saws and knives. All children learn how to use them safely and enjoy challenging themselves to try it out.
Some archaeologists have found more pottery and bottles which are now on display outside Miss Ardreys' office.
Year 2 made and cooked a soup on the fire which they really enjoyed eating, this tied in well with their 'stone soup' book.
Lots of classes have enjoyed art work - watercolours, Nordic braiding, leaf rubbings and have created music. They have made wonderful conctions in the mud kitchen.
Our nature detectives have been hunting trees and learning tree names. Some classes have also made homes for insects, including ladybirds, butterflies, beetles and a boot for owls!
