Act of Worship
Today (20.6.17) we were invited to the Year 5 ‘Big Fat Quiz of the Year’. The Brainiacs took on the Geeky Glasses to see who could answer the most questions about all of the subjects they have learnt this year. There were some tough questions set by their classmates but that did not stop the Geeky Glasses as they took control of the quiz and came out on top!
Well done Year 5, it was a lot of fun.
On Wednesday the 14th December, Year 5 hosted a range of Anglo-Saxon workshops for children of Stocks Green and Fosse Bank. The activities were Anglo-Saxon dancing, butter making, biscuit making, an artefact trail, making clay brooches, Beowulf roleplay, farming and wool spinning.
Everyone had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed it! The children that came all learnt from our activities and left with smiles on their faces. Most of us were nervous because we were teaching people we didn’t know but we gained our confidence and we had fun!
We are looking forward to showing the parents what we have done and celebrating our learning with them.
Stefan and Jack.
