At Hildenborough CEP School we recognise the contribution of PE to the health and well-being of the children. We believe that an innovative, varied PE curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities have a positive influence on the concentration, attitude and academic achievement of all our children. As a Church of England school, we believe that the skills and attitudes the children learn through sport strongly promote and reflect our Christian values, supporting the children’s health and happiness.
Sports Relief 2018
The children had great fun raising money and trying to beat the World Record of 220 bounces of a tennis ball on a tennis racquet in a minute. Unfortunately we were unable to beat the record but we were able to raise £147.50 for Sport Relief.
Well done to all the players competing in the 4 teams at the inter-schools tournament on Wednesday 7th March. The children demonstrated great skills, teamwork and hard work throughout.
Congratulations to the Year 3/4 team who came 3rd and a massive well done to the Year 5/6 team who WON the tournament! They will go on to represent the West Kent area in the county finals in the summer.
A group of 10 children from years 1 and 2 had a great morning competing in an athletics festival on Thursday 18th January. They were fantastic; running, throwing, jumping and catching! Well done!
“We are the Year 5 Games Leaders and we set up and ran an obstacle course the Year R at break time. Lots of them came and enjoyed it. They want us to do it again!”
Congratulations to the Hildenborough Boom team who represented the Tonbridge area at the county finals in Gillingham on Wednesday. We are very proud to announce they came 2nd! Fantastic!
