Hildenborough v Woodlands (A team)
On Wednesday Hildenborough played a tough game against Woodlands. We were working well as a team but half way through the first half they scored one in the back of the net, shortly followed by a second goal.
The second half we had some bad luck as we has at least three great opportunities, one from Alex, who kicked the ball straight for the net but it was saved by the goalie. A great run from Connor, who only missed by another great save and Sam who did some great tackling and another near miss at the goal. A third goal was conceded just before the whistle making it 3-0 to Woodlands.

Hildenborough v Woodlands (B team)
Brilliant start to the match. We managed to hold off the shots from Woodlands but eventually their goals started coming. Great defending and we eventually found the back of the net with a brilliant goal from Morgan. All of our team got really stuck in but Woodlands got more of the goals. Everyone stayed positive until the very end.
Final score 1-5 to Woodlands. Great game everyone, well played all.

Hildenborough Stocks Green (B team)
We started really well, Stocks Green had more possession of the ball. We had some great runs up the wing but we didn’t score! We all played really well but in the end we lost 1-0.

Hadlow v Hildenborough (A team)
It was a hard game on a cold pitch against a strong Hadlow team on Wednesday evening. Both teams started off brightly but it was Hadlow who quickly settled and found their scoring boots, their Number 7 proving particularly useful. Some tough defending and last minute goalkeeping kept the score respectable for the first half. The second half saw the visitors playing downhill and they took full advantage, although had luck been on our side Hildenborough could have scored a couple of terrific goals rather than hitting the post twice! Indeed the last (and probably the best) goal of the game was scored by the boys in green with the last kick of the game after some lovely energetic midfield play! Both teams played fairly and showed great commitment. Final score Hadlow 6 Hildenborough 1. Well done all.

Hadlow v Hildenborough (B team)
Hildenborough were really strong starting. We had a lot of chances to score but we couldn’t find the net. Hadlow fought back well and nicked a goal just before half time. Hildenborough fought back hard and hit both of the posts, but did not score. It was a great game.
Final score Hadlow 1 Hildenborough 0.

Stocks Green v Hildenborough (A team)
On Wednesday 23rd November Hildenborough played Stocks Green in football. Sadly we only won 2-1. Everyone tried as hard as they could to get Hildenborough the win. Alex F scored 2 goals and was very close to getting a hat-trick (3 goals).

Stocks Green v Hildenborough (A team)
On 23rd November the B team played Stocks Green. Morgan was in goal, William B, Jaron and myself were defending and Leo, Theo and Evan were out front. It was a very fast paced game. There was great tackling from the front and Jaron showed good sportsmanship to a Stocks Green player who went down by checking he was ok. William B and Morgan worked well defending the goal area. Evan scored for us first, quickly followed by a goal from Stocks Green. It continued like this into the second half with Evan scoring a hat trick. As the light began to fade, an unlucky corner put Stocks ahead 4-3. Evan and myself both had shots at the goal but we both hit the goal post.
The final score was 4-3 to Stocks Green.

Cage Green v Hildenborough (A team)
On Wednesday 16th November Hildenborough played Cage Green in football. Undeservingly we lost 4-1 this is a shame as everyone put in a lot of effort. We were unlucky yet Cage Green did play much better than us.

Cage Green v Hildenborough (B team)
In the first half Hildenborough started strong showing a good defensive line. Morgan was solid in goal, making some good saves and Leo blocked a few too. Will E had a great game and was well supported by Josh’s tackling skills.
In the second half Cage Green took possession but the Hildenborough boys dug in. Theo and Cameron worked hard to get the ball back, as did Jaron, Evan and William B and a last minute goal from Cameron made us all cheer out loud!
Well done B team!

St Margaret Clitherow Hildenborough (A team)
On Wednesday we faced a very tough opponent in St Margarets. The game started and five minutes in we conceded a goal in the early stages of the game. We stayed focused and shortly after Alex F scored a brilliant goal which made it 1-1. In the second half Alex received the ball from Ben but was brought down in the box, penalty given. Alex F. stepped up to take the penalty and he calmly put it away. After that Ben saved multiple saves and we ended the match 2-1. All the team worked together which resulted in a great win.

St Margaret Clitherow Hildenborough (B team)
We played St Margarets B team and lost 3-1. There were some great tackles going in from all players and some wonderful crosses from Will E. on the right wing. Lucas and Josh got stuck in on the left. Theo scored a fantastic goal in the top corner. Our goal said I did a great kick up field to set up Theo. Overall I think everyone played their best. Well done!

Woodlands Hildenborough (A team)
The A team came up against a strong Woodlands and matched them with it being a very close encounter especially in the first half. Solid tackles at the back from Stefan, Ben and Roman kept Woodlands away from goal. Attempt’s occurred from the home side however goalkeeper Jack stood firm to allow nothing past. Powerful on and off ball runs from Alex F was a constant threat to the Woodlands goal as the teams went in with it being 1-1 level at half time.
Second half Woodlands came out very strong and small errors and a lack of concentration cost a reshuffled Hildenborough the game.
On the whole not at all a bad first performance of the season and has allowed the manager get a better understanding of his players and their preferred postions for the season ahead.
Final Score Woodlands 4 Hildenborough 1

Man of the Match
For his strong potent goal threat.

Woodlands Hildenborough (B team)
The B team also came head to head with a sturdy Woodlands. A first half dictated by the midfield and defensive battles in which Lucas, Will and Leo came out on top for most of the game. Top saves in goal from Daniel kept Woodlands at bay however the ongoing pressure became too much with two goals being conceded before full time. Substitute Evan came on to inject pace and good energy causing the Woodlands defence some problems. Result won’t suggest it put many positives to take from the Bs first game and a bright season ahead with top team spirits amongst both sides.
Final Score Woodlands 2 Hildenborough 1

Man of the match.
For his safe hands in the goal.
